This is a landscape lighting project, focusing on the installation of garden lighting within large planter boxes, enhancing the visual appeal of the outdoor space. The task involved running conduits underground and integrating lighting solutions to illuminate the garden’s features. Creating a well-lit, inviting garden environment through lighting adds value to a renovation.

In this bathroom renovation project, we focused on combining style with practicality. We started by installing elegant strip lights down the sides of the mirror, adding a modern touch and improving visibility. To combat the issue of the mirror fogging up, we included a handy mirror demister, keeping the mirror clear and usable after hot showers. We also upgraded the space with a new heated towel rail, ensuring towels are always warm and cozy, and finished off with the installation of a new electric heater for added comfort. This renovation was all about enhancing the bathroom's functionality while keeping it looking inviting.

In a recent renovation project, our team was tasked with elevating the ambience of a new bar in a residential house. This enhancement was achieved through the strategic installation of strip LED lighting beneath both the shelving and the bar area, creating a captivating and welcoming glow. Additionally, the installation included the integration of pendant lights, further enriching the bar's aesthetic appeal and atmosphere. This thoughtful application of lighting not only highlights the bar's features but also sets the mood for an engaging social experience

This was a new build bathroom. The client wanted an oval mirror with LED lighting around the mirror's edges. Our team did all the internal wiring for this bathroom and found this beautiful mirror of which the owners are thrilled with the end results.

This is a new build kitchen where we completed the prewire and finishing for the client. The client wanted pendant lighting above the kitchen serving bench and also a dishwasher in the same unit so dirty dishes could be put straight away making the area clean and tidy after dining.

This a hair salon that needed the lighting upgraded to make it easier for the hairdressers to do their work. We installed new cabling and beautiful new pendant lighting above the workstations with power control for brightness. We replaced the old ceiling lights with downlighting as well.

This is a renovation of a Christchurch home where the owner wanted LED tread lighting. We opted to use LED Recessed Stair Lights to provide a cool subtle light for the evenings to guide people up the stairwell. Recessed Stair Lights and Stair Tread Lighting are becoming very popular for new builds and provide a beautiful ambience at nighttime.

This is a powder room in a renovation where we installed new cabling and power points throughout. We installed recessed LED strip lighting above the bench to assist with the desired lighting effect requested by the owner. We also installed some commercial style lighting in the form of square glass powders illuminated by LED lighting.

This is a block of three townhouses where Insight Electrical completed everything electrical including mains power, prewire, complete fit out and supply heat pumps, heat pump controllers and all pendent lighting, downlights, kitchen appliances, internet cabling, AV and TV wiring also.

Outdoor lighting at a rural home

A beautiful scullery for a new build where the client downlights and LED strip lights to illuminate the area. The lighting is behind the wooden board and gives a beautiful effect at nighttime.

This is an upgrade to “Backdoor” surf shop where all the old fluorescent light fittings were removed and replaced with new LED lighting and LED pendant lighting. Led lighting lasts longer and is more economical to run.

A new kitchen fitout. This project included a dual oven, LED strip lighting and LED downlights which gave a great effect, particularly at night. The recessed strip lighting can also be used as soft lighting at night while dining.

Exterior lighting on a new build. Insight Electrical did the complete electrical fit out of this house including the builder's temporary power, the prewire and the full fitout.

Insight Electrical was commissioned to do a complete electrical installation and fit out on this 18-unit apartment building. This included the prewire, temporary power and a full fit out including heat pumps and three-phase wiring for the service area.

A new build with two heat pumps installed (also airconditioning for Summer). The plugs are isolators for the heatpumps and in this house we fitted a heat pump in the hallway and in the living area.

Insight electrical were contacted to do an underground mains installation into a apartment block.

This project was a lighting fit out in renovation. The bathroom featured a his and hers vanity with suitable lighting above and new ceiling lights as shown.

A powerboard custom built by Insight Electrical for a HVAC and BMS. HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is the use of various technologies to control the temperature, humidity, and purity of the air in an enclosed space. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality.BMS stands for building management system. BMS systems are “Intelligent” microprocessor based controller networks. installed to monitor and control a buildings technical systems and services. such as air conditioning, ventilation, lighting and hydraulics

As part of a renovation we were invited to create something quite amazing. This is an up lit LED bench top which not only provides amazing lighting for meal preparation but has a dimmer as well to set a beautiful subtle backlit for evening time.

Insight electrical does EV fast charger installation. The ones we choose to install are smart chargers which know how much power the house is using and it can adjust the charging rate so you, you don't trip your main circuit breaker. This system can integrate solar power also which means the vehicle will charge when the solar's producing, during the day. These units are 7 kilowatts which fast charge the EV compared to 2 kilowatts from a normal domestic power outlet
